Position:
Overland is seeking to welcome a motivated LEAD SERVICE TECHNICIAN into our business family to perform daily functions of final vehicle finish, repair, vehicle and shop maintenance and various duties related to the functions of the shop floor. You will be part of a team! You will be leading other service and parts team members occasionally assisting and being assisted by them.
Objectives:
As LEAD SERVICE TECHNICIAN your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
•Maintaining a clean and safe work area
•Understanding health and safety policies and procedures
•Pre-Delivery Inspections, including underbody, repairs and installations as required
•Final finish and installation of custom accessories, camera systems, accessibility equipment including lifts, ramps and restraints
•12V Electrical inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair
•Mechanical diagnosis and repair of:
o HVAC
o Doors
o Windows
o Lifts/Ramps
o Electrical
▪ Primarily 12V
▪ Familiarity with high-voltage EV systems an advantage
o Body panel
o Body structure
o NOT REQUIRED - Engine, transmission, brake repair
• Oil/fluid changes
• Vehicle wash/clean
• Workorder process; follow, fill and close
• Driving of company truck
• Driving of customer and company commercial buses and vehicles
• Participate in company supported training sessions both web-based and in person
• Courteous dialogue with customers and vendors by phone and in person
• Assist parts team with packaging and shipping when needed
• Communicate with team management, and other departments any inputs related to performing the duties of this position
Qualifications:
• High School education or equivalent highly preferred
• Bus, RV or Commercial Vehicle experience highly preferred
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting background in commercial vehicle or heavy equipment
• Strong workspace management and cleanliness
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Enthusiastic, results driven problem solver
• MUST have MINIMUM valid G-class driver’s license
o Z-Endorsement preferred
o F-A class an advantage
• Valid passport to travel internationally
• Bilingual English/French valued asset
• Must share Overland values of distinguished customer service and pride in achieving goals for the Team and our Customers
