Description: 

EverWoods is a vertically integrated company that specializes in capturing and conveying the natural integrity, function, essence, and aesthetics of all wood elements derived from trees.  In short, EverWoods sources logs from found, salvaged, and hand-selected trees, brings these to its on-farm sawmilling facility, maximizes sawn yield of lumber and specialty products from these logs, professionally dries these products, and provides these products to a diverse array of markets

EverWoods now has a Live Edge Furniture and Décor Showroom and Sales Store at Elgin Centre in St. Thomas, Ontario.  This space includes a general work space area where we can perform certain custom design and crafting procedures, in particular various types of wood and epoxy resin pours. 

As such, we are seeking to fill one or two summer staff positions to assist with various duties (described herein) at our showroom, inventory storage area, and custom crafting workspace.  The successful candidates will be able to enjoy a variety of interesting and creative work experiences, which will involve various hands-on, cutting-edge wood and epoxy design and creations, as well as other related (mostly in-store) tasks associated with getting our product to market, both through in-store marketing measures, and the ever increasingly important online marketing and sales avenues available to the retail environment

 

Description:            REPORTS TO: President, as well as Showroom and Store Manager

Responsible principally for:

  • assist with set-up, carry-out and take-down various custom epoxy and wood pour stations
  • stock, inventory handling, management/tracking and storage
  • assist to organize, set-up, and complete weekly parcel packaging/labeling/shipping of various merchandise
  • periodically photograph various products business activities and assist with making use of such photography for various marketing and social media advertising purposes
