Description: 


Tool & Die Makers are Licensed Journeymen
Essential Functions:

  • Responsible to perform work as assigned by the shop foreman
  • Responsible to report product nonconformaces to the shop foreman are they arise, whether as a result oftheir own actions, or the actions of others
  • Responsible to inspect their own work, and be responsible for their own quality
  • Responsible to give their completed product to the next work-station on time, (including the Shipper)
  • Responsible to identify all of their work with the shop order number
  • Responsible for accurate reporting of daily production on time cards
  • Responsible to sign-off their work on the Red-Stamp on the drawing
  • Must seek prior engineering approval for all manufacturing that is not in accordance with the drawing
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work-station
  • Responsible to fully clean up their work-station after each shift
  • Responsible to calibrate their own measuring devices in accordance with Westool procedures
Requirements: 

Skill Set and Competency Requirements

  • Tool & Die Makers must have a Journeyman’s license
  • Ability to perform machining tasks as assigned by the shop foreman
  • Ability to measuring devices and calibrate them
  • Ability to read drawings and machining symbols
  • CNC operators must have a working knowledge of CAD/CAM programming
