We are looking to add a Logistics Dispatcher to our team in Woodstock!!

Job Purpose

The role of a dispatcher is to ensure we properly manage our fleet and our drivers have all the necessary information and tools to perform their job duties. The dispatcher plays a very important role on the overall success of operations and is looked at in the highest regard. It is imperative the dispatcher has knowledge and experience on how to manage drivers and deal with the day to day tasks at hand to get orders covered based on the time constraints of our customers.

Specific Duties

-schedule and dispatch drivers and equipment to appropriate locations or tank washes according to our customer requests, specifications, or needs

-ensure all drivers and owner operators are fully utilized and monitor their progress throughout the month to ensure the company is meeting up to the driver and owner operator expectations

-schedule the maintenance of trucks, trailers when needed at approved vendor locations

-enter orders into our TMS and confirm that proper information accompanies the order based on customer requirements

-work closely with customer service to address customer questions or concerns in order to provide the service and satisfaction our customers require

-prepare daily work and dispatch schedules and scan/email to the driver and pre-plan/dispatch on our TMS

-receive driver’s paperwork and be sure it gets to the customer service/billing department in a timely manner

-help assist in any compliance/regulatory duties as needed i.e. Peoplenet, 60 day service, annuals

-abiding by Canada/U.S. transportation regulations on a provincial/state, and federal level

-communicate effectively with drivers, co-workers, and customers and adhere to the company’s communication policy

-adhere to company safety policy by working in a safe and professional manner

-handle after hour calls as they relate to drivers and customer’s needs

-after hours phone calls as needed

-other duties as required



-TMS experience/AS400 system or equivalent

-intermediate experience in Microsoft Word and Excel

-2-5 years dispatching

-understanding of basic transportation regulation both in U.S. and Canada i.e. weight restrictions, hours of service.

-WHMIS/TDG training
