Food Service Staff

(Cooks, Prep Cooks, Food Service Assistants)

Camp Location

Tim Horton Onondaga Farms (THOF) is one of the Foundation’s 7 camps, and is located on over 400 acres of picturesque farmland, surrounded by feed crops, rolling hills and protected wetlands. Located a 1 hour drive south-west of Toronto, THOF is committed to the preservation and protection of wildlife and the natural environment. The on-site farm is the home to horses, cattle, goats, chickens, rabbits and donkeys. Program highlights at THOF include: overnight camping and backpacking, high and low ropes challenge courses, fishing, archery, and environmental programming.

What would you be doing?

  • Enhancing the experience of the Foundation’s campers and guests by providing high quality and nutritious meals
  • Preparing, washing, peeling, cutting and cooking food items – as assigned depending on role
  • Stocking the kitchen as necessary
  • Clean/sanitize dining tables, dishes, glasses, silverware and other kitchenware
  • Following health and safety and Serve Safe standards
  • Supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen
  • Contributing to a supportive and positive work environment



Does this sound like you?

  • Experience in a food service or kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of food preparation, serving and kitchen procedures
  • Experience in cooking for large groups – an asset
  • Experience with special diets and food allergens – an asset
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Reliable transportation to and from camp is required
  • Clear criminal background check and/or vulnerable sector search, if applicable
