Description: 

Result Areas of the Position:

  • Respond to customer inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Taking and following up on orders over telephone
  • Entering orders when necessary
  • Expediting orders
  • Clarifying orders both on phone and in writing
  • Coverage of telephone for duration of shift
  • Various administrative responsibilities including filing
  • Liaison for one Branch

Qualifications:

  • Excellent spelling
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Very detail oriented
  • Able to work under pressure of time restraints
  • Reliable attendance, neat appearance

Activities and Tasks:

  • Taking customers order
  • Evaluating open order reports
  • Issuing appropriate credits
  • Answering overflow switchboard
  • Data entry when and if necessary
  • Responding to various customer inquiries such as pricing or delivery
  • Various Administrative tasks & duties as assigned 

Perform activities required by the ISO 9001 and Sterling Quality Management System 

Requirements: 
  • Excellent reading, writing  speaking on the telephone -- total comprehension of the written word
