Description: 

This bookkeeping role includes supporting current staff, clients and subcontractors with various accounting and administrative tasks. The position is located in Simcoe, Ontario at 28 Colborne Street North.

This position could be part time with intention to become full time. If part time, flexibility will be required during low peak and high peak demands. We do offer banking hours for additional time off during the summer*.

STARTING RESPONSIBILITIES

Admin Support

  • Communication: Answer Phones, Emails, Coordinate paperwork pick up & drop offs

  • Files any important documents (electronically and physically)

  • Any clerical and administrative support for others as needed.

Bookkeeping Tasks

  • Manage paperwork/information requests

  • Complete data entry of receipts and information provided

  • Payroll entry

  • AR/AP tracking for some clients

  • Bank Reconciliations

  • Basic reporting to clients

  • Other tasks, projects and functions as required.

 

Requirements: 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Compassion, Respect and Confidentiality

  • Impeccable organizational skills.

  • Attention to Details & Decimals.

  • College: Bookkeeping Certificate or several Courses.

  • Decent skills on Microsoft Excel, Word.

  • Quickbooks and/or Sage experience would be valued.

  • Experience with AR/AP or direct bookkeeping would be valued.

  • Ability to learn quickly, analyze, adapt and ask questions.

  • Ability to prioritize work, tasks and deadlines.

  • Self Motivation

  • Sense of Humour – life is too short not to have laughs at work!
