Springer Aerospace is looking for independent and motivated individuals to jour our team as a Full Time Permanent Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Apprentice who are interested in gaining the skills and experience necessary to meet the requirements to become full with AME-M and AME-S Certificate Holders thru Transport Canada.
As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) Apprentice, responsibilities include:
- Perform all work assigned in accordance with the instruction and procedures;
- Report any defect that is noted in the course of performing maintenance;
- Care and custody of tooling and publications associated with the maintenance function;
- Carry out daily tasks/duties as assigned by AMLs, ICLs and AME’s, this includes working furnishings, mechanical, avionics and structures as needed;
- Complete required documentation in accordance with Springer Aerospace’s Maintenance Policy Manual.
- Maintain professional work habits and communicate with employees and customers in a professional manner.
- Complete any special projects or other tasks as required or assigned. May be assigned to other areas of operations, based on business needs or customer requirements.
- Work in compliance with all Administrative, Health and Safety policies and procedures as per legislative requirements and as outlined in Company policies.
- College diploma in Aircraft Maintenance from a Transport Canada approved educational institution.
- Hold a valid driver’s license
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, as well as, climb, kneel and crawl frequently in tight spaces;
