Description: 

Wallacetown Small Engines is seeking a full-time small engines technician to join our team. We value our community and our customers and are seeking a team member with a strong work ethic who will provide excellent service, has a willingness to learn and brings a positive and collaborative attitude to our team. Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Description

  • repairing and servicing both 2-Cycle and 4-Cycle engines powering lawnmowers, grass trimmers, chain saws, leaf blowers and cut off saws; repair of zero-turn and out-front style commercial grass-cutting equipment up to 35HP and various construction and tree removal equipment (generators, packers, chainsaws, stump grinders, etc.)
  • Knowledge & experience with electrical trouble-shooting is an asset.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of machinery
  • Weld and solder components as needed
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues; conduct inspections to identify potential problems or areas of improvement
  • Service order and work order writing, accurately documenting parts required and efficiently execute the most practical repair in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving concerns
Requirements: 
  • 3 years experience or equivalent experience in other industry areas (preferred)
  • A self-starter who is punctual, can work independently, with good communications skills and a positive attitude.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Mechanical ticket an asset but not required
  • Must be willing to learn new skills where applicable.
  • Heavy lifting / Assembly / Assistance in other areas of work may be required.
