Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for providing various accounting, financial, statistical and administrative services for 3 small + mid-size operations. Company is expanding as well!

Essential Duties:

  • Oversee all general accounting operations
  • Assist in the preparation of reporting documents
  • Accurate and efficient preparation of month end Financial Statements and reports.
  • Maintain and examine all receivables and payables entries, collection of accounts receivable
  • Authorization for preparation of month-end cheque runs
  • Demonstrate ability to produce cash flow forecasts
  • Data input and process inventory systems and reporting
  • Carry out various ad hoc projects

 

Requirements: 
  • MUST - Successful completion of a Post-Secondary Certificate/Diploma in Accounting or Business field or related program or approved combination of education and experience. Working towards designation.
  • Excellent knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in competencies including customer service, communication, team work, initiative/self-management and accountability, and flexibility/adaptability.
  • Knowledge of general accounting practices and procedures and general office procedures including records management.
  • Computer literacy utilizing MS Office software applications as well as proficiency in spreadsheet applications.
